Hey lovers.

The first thing you should know is that I’m an international politics nut, and I’m in grad school working toward a political science Ph.D. The workload is intense, and sometimes I whine about it, but there’s really nothing I’d rather be doing. I’m basically a caricature of an academic — I’m endlessly curious, I never think my work is good enough, I’m in love with big words, and I need to be constantly caffeinated in order to feel human. 

I’m also into poetry, cold weather, spicy food, jazz, and Shakespeare. 

My favorite author is Dostoevsky, my favorite movie is Bergman’s The Seventh Seal, my favorite album (at the moment) is Mongrel from the Mário Laginha Trio, and my favorite emcee is Dessa.
