Nice to meet you.

I’m a political science nut, a news junkie, and a poetry fiend. I have a bachelor’s degree and a coffee addiction, and those two things are most certainly connected. I am driven by an insatiable curiosity and a commitment to self-improvement. I like mountains, cold weather, clear thinking, good questions, great music, and Thai food. I believe that you can’t overstate the importance of compassion.

I’m entering a political science Ph.D. program in August 2012. My research interests center on the role of non-state actors in international conflict; my most recent project has been investigating how states make decisions about counterterrorism cooperation through regional organizations.
